THE CELTIC NOTES -- Thursday 1st March

PETE, SEAN and PADDY are a super trio who live in Cheshire and North Wales. As their title suggests they specialise in presenting Celtic songs and tunes, many of which we all know and love.    So there will be lots of chances to sing-out loudly in the choruses.    Paddy is a great comic also so there is no doublt that he will have you in heaps of laughter with his Irish yarns and anecdotes.    So be prepared for aching tummy muscles by the end of the night.    A great evening is in prospect then.

OTHER ROADS -- Thursday 15th March

Most 'folkies' will be aware that GREGOR, PETE (a singer/songwriter) and DAVE (also a singer/songwriter) were formerly the John Wright's Band, until John's very sad premature passing a few years ago.    Gregor is a champion fiddle player and for many years Dave used to perform with Ruth Fuga and Ken Powell as 'Risky Business'.    So you can see that their pedigree is a very high one.    Pete has a beautiful voice and is backed most harmoniously by Gregor and Dave.    The guys produced wonderful performances at our 7th WIRRAL FOLK ON THE COAST FESTIVAL in June so it will be a treat to have them with us again.
