VOCAL POINT is Sue Farley and John and Angie Owen. They have been performing regularly together for the last five years. Sue and John are sister and brother and Angie is married to John. Sue and John provide the vocals with guitar accompaniment and Angie plays the bodhran (Irish drum) and other percussion. They are the resident band at the club and on special guest concert nights can be found fronting the guest acts.
Angie and John are also the Directors of the WIRRAL FOLK ON THE COAST FESTIVAL held in June every year.
John is the Secretary of the North West Federation of Folk Clubs and the FOLK NORTH WEST magazine.
Sue was for many years part of the harmony group Allegro and was Director of Music for the Knowsley Singers. You will be amazed by this band's wonderful singing and interpretation of both traditional and contemporary folk music. Their new CD "Journey to the Sea" is now available and can be obtained at the folk club or by ringing John at 0151-678-9902. They are very keen to perform at all types of social function whether it be a folk club, folk festival, private function or fundraising event.
